Shimmy Shimmy Ya!

My man ODB on the front of some potato chips. Who woulda thunk it? But really though? Rap Snacks? These guys can't be serious. How in the world do you justify putting the Young Bloodz on the front of your product? Like those lames are going to make me want to eat your damn chips. In the immortal words of NaS, "Neeeegro Please!" But if the thought of shitty hip hop artists on the front of your potato chips makes you hungry then you can buy some here.
Way to make the world even fatter by putting the kids' favorite musicians on the front of another artery clogging product. The website even has a soundtrack to go with it. "I need Dubs" by Master P starts blaring out the speakers when you enter the website. Jesus help me.

Excuse the foul language in this post but I'm too beside myself. Murs 4 President. Good Night.

Escobar Season Has Returned...

Nas Feat. P.Diddy - Hate Me Now
by Drunken-Li-Dragon

The greatest rapper of all time(yeah I said it) dropped one of the most controversial videos in hip-hop history. This is an appreciation post for that video. I still play this song from time to time and visualize the scenes from this video in my head. The flashiness displayed is so overwhelmingly unnecessary that I can't help but love it, and the QB chain he has on is a timeless classic. Check it out.

Justice - Planisphere

The song is so long they broke it up in to 4 parts. Its dope though. Check it out on their myspace.

Justice - Planisphere

Hooligans

One of my favorite movies of all time. The first time I saw it was about 3 years ago and I've been hooked ever since. I watched it with my roommates a few nights ago and they were shocked to see how bad hooliganism is. With that being said, just imagine if American sports fans were as passionate as European football fans. What if instead of Crips and Bloods, sports fans were fighting over their favorite teams? I love Liverpool with all my heart but I can't see myself dying over a club, but to each his own. I like the depiction of football hooliganism in "Green Street" a lot more than in "Football Factory" both are good movies but I think "Green Street" is better. It's a must see film.

Hate! Hate! Hate!

So I was reading one of my favorite blogs, The Smoking Section and I saw a link that read, "Idaho Sucks." I clicked on it and to my suprise someone really hates our football team. SMH. Here's the blog entry:

Following a 70-0 loss at Arizona, Idaho’s football team dropped the “I” logo that was on the seat of their pants. But that was the only uniform change that’s made sense in the nation’s leader in potatoes and white power militias: the university forced the cheerleading squad to abandon its awesome two-piece uniforms after only one game.

There were enough complaints from Vandal fans about the uniforms that the cheerleading squad abandoned the two-piece outfits…

Donned with more threads last weekend, a second set of uniforms - black shirts and shorts - were worn by the cheerleaders… Despite the less revealing attire; however, the all-black motif lacked panache.

Hell yes it lacked panache. Wait… what’s “panache” again? Is that a word for something that gives me a boner? Because if so I stand by my statement.

BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE

I clicked on another link and see this blog entry:

Is Idaho Football Too Sexy?

Oh, Idaho Vandals… you've broken the windowpanes of my tough exterior,
looted my heart, left a graffiti smile on my face, and started a riot in my very
soul. I'll never be the same.

Check the comments, I SMH'd so hard I almost broke my neck. hahaha.

It's The Delivery Man

I'm not too fond of rap's newcomers these days but there's just something about the Cool Kids that make me support just about everything they put out. Their lyrics aren't the most complex but they're good enough to get some oohhs and awws from time to time and their beats knock. Here's their latest video "The Delivery Man" check it out.

The Show About Nothing Ep. 4

Straight from http://thisisdj.blogspot.com/:

"This is part one of a two part series of episode 4. This episode is accompanied by special guest, Diana Nguyen and is about...well nothing. Specifically this one is dedicated to the ladies and part one is really just trying to get a better understanding on what girls think of everything...and about nothing."
Episode 4 part 1 - The Show About Nothing

Shout out to my man DJ, he's doing big things. Be sure to download his mixtape Late August

We Major?

T-Shirts coming soon!
They look cheap as hell but there is no such thing as bad publicity. Right?

Whats a Goon to a Goblin?

The Chemical Brothers - Midnight Madness
I just thought this video was funny for some reason. I think that's a Goblin running around. hahaha.

Love Lockdown

This is beyond whack. This can't be the final version because the chorus sounds turrible. The new cd is titled "808s and Heartbreaks" and from the first single I can tell I'm not going to like it. The word is that Kanye is singing on most if not all of the tracks on the album and he'll be using that played out autotune. Damn. SMH x 1000. But here it is.

ALMOST

This part came out almost three years ago and it's still amazes me. Chris Haslam is the truth if you didn't already know.

Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga

Spoon - Cherry Bomb

Spoon dropped one of the best albums of 2007. I dont think they get enough love so I'm sharing this song with you. This album is still in heavy rotation. 2007 was a good year. Justice, M.I.A. Feist, Against Me!, Spoon, Arctic Monkeys, Of Montreal, and a lot of other bands dropped great albums. If you don't know about the artists I just mentioned do yourself a favor...

All The Girls Standing in The Line For the Bathroom...

Everyone Nose(Remix)
Video has been out for a while but it's easily one of my favorites of 08. Just thought I'd share.

Girl x ALIFE

It's another Girl x ALIFE collab.

Even When The Sky Comes Fallin...

Anyone that knows knows me knows that I pretty much hate R&B. But I have to make an exception for this song. It's called "Sure Thing" by Miguel. This song goes tooo hard. check it out.

My name's Wah-lay dont say Wally

Wale!

If you haven't heard of Wale (pronounced Wah-lay) please do me a favor and pick up a mixtape. He's been out for a few years now and is signed to Interscope. Hopefully that works out, Wale isn't the typical mainstream rapper so it will be interesting to see what Jimmy Iovine does with him. He is also a poster on NikeTalk so I have to support him. All his mixtapes are for free download so if you have some time pick one and enjoy. But in the mean time here goes "Daytona Squared" and "W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E." off his mixtape, "100 Miles and Running."

Tell Him...

"See what we now know is nothing compares to the love that was shown when our lives were spared and tell him..."

One of my favorite songs of all time from one of my favorite artists of all time. If Lauryn Hill didn't go crazy she could've been one of the best MCs of all time when it was all said and done. Words can't describe how much I love this song and this album as a whole. I hope that Lauryn can one day return to her brilliant form that was shown on The Miseducation.

Here's the song if you haven't heard it. Listen to it. It will change your life.

"And I'll Be Coming Home..."

I'm sitting here listening to the original version of "Home" by Kanye West and it makes me realize how much I miss home. This song is one of my all time favorite Kanye tracks. This is back when he was the soulful Kanyw. I miss that. John Legend just brings something to the song that Chris Martin can't. I need to stop listening to this song, it's making me depressed. But if you haven't heard it give it a listen.
